Gen. Petraeus Casts His Lot with Liars of Fox News

An overwhelming percentage of Americans know that Fox News is just a tool of the GOP and not a real news service. It is run with a tight fist by former GOP flack Roger Ailes. It's reputation is so soiled that no Democratic candidates would agree to be involved in a debate broadcast on the faux news network, which some have called the Most Biased Name in News. It is very sad to see Gen. Petraeus stoop to appearing on this Trash TV to get the word out about how things are going on Iraq. He has already lost some credibility with me, and millions of others. What bad judgment.

Petraeus Gives Exclusive One Hour Interview To Fox:

Tomorrow night, after spending the day telling Congress that President Bush’s Iraq escalation should continue, Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker will take their PR campaign to a more comfortable setting: Fox News.

On Fox News Sunday this morning, host Chris Wallace announced the interview:

WALLACE: Now a special program note. Tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. eastern on the Fox News Channel, Brit will have an exclusive interview with General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker about the state of the Iraq war and their testimony to Congress.

Perhaps the time of claiming exclusive religious certainty that polarizes and vilifies is waning, finally, and a new movement stirs -- a recognition that at the heart of our faith (and, much to our surprise, we find it at the heart of virtually all faiths) is the simple claim that God is gently but surely guiding us to live lives of compassion and solidarity."
